Key Features
The Noise Junior Explorer 2 comes packed with features that make it a compelling choice for parents prioritizing their child's safety and connectivity. Let's break down what makes this smartwatch stand out:
- 4G SIM Compatibility: This is a game-changer, allowing the watch to function independently for calls and internet connectivity, just like a phone. You'll need to insert a 4G nano SIM card from any major Indian telecom provider.
- 2-Way Video & Voice Calling: Your child can make and receive calls from approved contacts, and even enjoy video calls, which is fantastic for checking in face-to-face when you're apart. It’s a great way to bridge the distance.
- Real-Time Location Monitoring via Google Maps: Using the companion app on your smartphone, you can track your child's exact location on Google Maps in real time, giving you constant reassurance about their whereabouts.
- Geofencing: Set up safe zones, like their school or home, and receive instant alerts on your phone if your child enters or leaves these designated areas. This is incredibly useful for ensuring they stick to their routine.
- SOS Emergency Alerts: In an emergency, your child can simply press and hold the SOS button on the watch, which will automatically call and send location alerts to pre-selected emergency contacts.
- IP68 Water Resistance: Kids are active, and accidents happen! With an IP68 rating, this watch is splash, sweat, and dust resistant, meaning it can handle everyday spills and playground adventures without a hitch.
- Good Build Quality: Crafted with durable materials, the watch is designed to withstand the rigours of daily child's play. The strap is comfortable for little wrists, and the watch face is resilient.
- Popular Choice: The watch has garnered a 4.1/5 rating from 47 verified ratings on Amazon India, indicating strong satisfaction among parents who have purchased it, making it a trusted option in the market.
- Value for Money: Considering the advanced communication, tracking, and safety features, the Noise Junior Explorer 2, at ₹6,499, provides a comprehensive solution for parental peace of mind, offering significant utility for its price point.

Real-World Performance
When it comes to real-world usage, the Noise Junior Explorer 2 performs admirably, living up to its promise of keeping kids safe and connected. The 4G connectivity is generally reliable across major Indian networks, ensuring clear two-way voice and video calls. Parents report that the call quality is surprisingly good for a smartwatch, allowing for easy communication even in slightly noisy environments like a school playground. The video calling feature, while not HD quality, is perfectly adequate for a quick visual check-in, allowing parents to see their child and vice-versa, which adds a personal touch that simple voice calls can't match.
Location tracking is another standout feature. The real-time monitoring via Google Maps is quite accurate, typically within a few meters, which is crucial for parental assurance. Setting up geofences is straightforward through the companion app, and the alerts are prompt, arriving almost instantly when a child crosses a boundary. This accuracy and responsiveness are critical for parents, especially when children are commuting to school or playing outdoors. Battery life, a common concern with 4G-enabled devices, is respectable; with moderate usage (a few calls, regular location pings), the watch typically lasts a full day, meaning it can easily get through a school day and evening activities before needing a charge.
The build quality, as mentioned, holds up well to the playful nature of kids. The IP68 rating means it can survive splashes and dust, which is essential in the Indian climate and for active kids. The touchscreen is responsive, and the interface is simple enough for children to navigate without much difficulty, ensuring they can use the calling and SOS features easily. Parents appreciate the robust design that feels like it can withstand drops and bumps, saving them from frequent replacements. Overall, the Noise Junior Explorer 2 delivers on its core functionalities, providing a reliable and intuitive experience for both children and parents.

Final Verdict: Worth Buying?
After a thorough look, the Noise Junior Explorer 2 Smart Watch certainly stands out as a strong contender in the Indian market for kids' smartwatches. For parents who are constantly worried about their child's safety and want a reliable way to stay connected without giving them a full-fledged smartphone, this device hits all the right notes. The combination of 4G calling, precise location tracking, geofencing, and the crucial SOS emergency button provides unparalleled peace of mind. At ₹6,499, it's an investment, but one that offers a significant return in terms of security and convenience for the modern Indian family. While there are cheaper smartwatches for kids available, they often lack the 4G calling and video capabilities, or the accuracy of location tracking that the Noise Junior Explorer 2 provides.
Considering its robust feature set, durable build, and positive user feedback, we believe the Noise Junior Explorer 2 offers excellent value for money. It effectively bridges the gap between basic trackers and full smartphones, giving children a taste of independence while keeping them safely within reach. If you're looking for a dependable, feature-rich smartwatch that puts your child's safety first, and you're comfortable with the price point, this Noise watch is an excellent choice. It's a thoughtful tech solution that genuinely solves a modern parenting dilemma.
Bottom Line: The Noise Junior Explorer 2 is a highly recommended smart investment for Indian parents seeking robust safety and communication for their children.
